How to Install Windows 8 For PSP v1.2 Build 107 on Your PSP
Windows 8 For PSP v1.2 Build 107 is a homebrew XMB layout for the PSP that mimics the look and feel of Windows 8 RT. It was developed by DoÄa ÃzkaracaabatlÄoÄlu (Project Smyrna) and released in 2013. It features a GUI and a lock screen ported from Windows 8, as well as some applications such as Media Player, Video Player, PC Settings, PSP Facebook, PSP Opera and JAVA Apps. It also allows you to listen to music in game and start UMD discs from the Start Menu[^1^].
If you want to try this homebrew on your PSP, you will need a PSP with custom firmware installed and a memory stick with enough space. Here are the steps to install Windows 8 For PSP v1.2 Build 107 on your PSP:

Extract the zip file to your computer and copy the PSmyrna folder to the root folder of your memory stick.
Copy the files prjctsmwin8pspauto.prx, music.prx and music_conf.txt from the seplugins folder in the zip file to the seplugins folder on your PSP.
Add this line to the VSH.txt file in the seplugins folder on your PSP: ms0:/seplugins/prjctsmwin8pspauto.prx 0
Add this line to the GAME.txt file in the seplugins folder on your PSP: ms0:/seplugins/music.prx 1
Go to Recovery Menu and activate both plugins and restart your PSP.
Your XMB should now be replaced by Windows 8 Start Menu. Enjoy!
If you want to disable Windows 8 For PSP v1.2 Build 107, go to Recovery Menu and disable both plugins and restart your PSP.
Here are some tips on how to use Windows 8 For PSP v1.2 Build 107:
The up, down, right and left buttons control the cursor.
The X button is equivalent to click or touch.
The L button locks the system and opens the lock screen.
To listen to music in game, use these button combinations: SELECT + R for play/pause, SELECT + Left Button for go back, SELECT + Right Button for go next, SELECT + Triangle for increase CPU speed, SELECT + Cross for decrease CPU speed, SELECT + Square for show information about song, SELECT + HOME for turn off game music, SELECT + START for repeat on/off.
To use JAVA Apps, use these button configurations: Square for left button, Circle for right button, X for center button. The keyboard uses SONY OSK.
